Lord Shiva or Lord Siva

Lord shiva is the Third Member of the Hindu Trinity gods.Lord shiva is one of the most powerfull gods of the Hindu Pantheon.He is known by many other names such as Nataraja,Mahadeva,Vishwanath,Maha yogi,Bhole Nath and Bhava.In temples Lord Shiva is usually found in symbol called "Shiva Linga".Lord Shiva also holds Goddess Ganga and a crescent Moon on his Head.A cobra snake around his neck,a trishul(Trident) in his hand and tiger skin and ashs smeared all over his body.

Lord shiva's consort is Goddess Parvati is belived to be the core power force of the Universe,because of his responsibility for death and destruction,whereas Lord Brahma the creator or preserver .Lord shiva destroys in order to create,since death is the medium for rebirth in to a new life.This will represent the life and death and creation and destruction which reside in his character.Some times Lord Shiva is seen riding on a bull called Nandi decked in garlands.On Maha Shivaratri devotees worship Lord shiva,especiallythe Menfolk,prepare a drink called Thandai(made from almonds and Milk) sing songs in praise of Lord Shiva.

Mantra -
"Om Namah Shivaya"
Meaning -
When a person chants this Mantra impurities,doubts and anxieties are destroyed.Lord shiva will immediately shower his blessings on the devotees.
Lord shiva can be pleased when his devotees chant Lingashtakam , Vaidyanatha Ashtakam and Maha Mrityumjaya Mantra once a day.

Lord Vishnu or Vishnu Lord

Lord Vishnu is the second member of the Hindu Trinity.He is said to be the preserver/sustainer of life,He saves the principles of order ,dharma and righeousness.When ever these principles are threatened and the people on earth are in danger he comes out in different Avatars to the earth to restore the principles and save his devotees.He was  also called Hari and Narayan as he removes all the sorrows of his devotees.

Lord Vishnu has a total of ten incarnations(Avatars).These include Matsya(fish),Koorma(Tortoise),Varaaha(Boar),Narasimha(Man Lion),Vaamana(The dwarf),Parasurama(The angry Man),Lord Rama(The perfect human of the Ramayana),Lord Krishna,Buddha and Kalki who is yet to come.

Lord Vishnu has four attributes (or) Weapons.One hand holds chakra(Discus) which represents the time and lead a good life.One hand holds the Lotus(padma) which gives example to the existence.The othe holds the cunch (or) sankha which helps in destroying the evil forces.The forth hand holds a Mace(gada) which indicates the power and to punish the evil forces with it.

Lord Vishnu has a vehicle Gaurada(Egle-The King of Birds) which spreads the vice knowledge with great courage.Some times he is also seen on a many headed cobra(sheshanaag) in the ocean bed,which represents the shaping Universe.

Lord Vishnu's consort is Goddess Lakshmi who is also known for the Goddess of wealth.In the Ten incarnations Rama and Lord Krishna are the most worshiped incarnation's in India.

Mantra -

"Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya"

It's Meaning that I bow to the Lord who lives in the hearts of all.When a person chants this Mantra Lord will vanish all th obstacles and hard ships of his Life.
Some of the powerful mantras of Lord Vishnu are Damodarastakam and  Madhurashtakam

Lord Brahma

Lord Brahma is the first of the Hindu Trinity .He is the creator of the Universe and all beings.He is the lord who created fire(Agni,Air(vayu) in the atmosphere and Sun(surya) in the sky.

It is belived that Lord Brahma was born from the supreme Being Brahmam and the femal Power known as Maya.Wishing to create the world and Universe,Lord Brahmam first created the water,then he placed a seed in it.This seed grown in to a Golden egg, from which Brahma appeared.Due to this reason Brahma is also known as "Hiranya garbha".Brahma was also belived to be born from the lotus flower which grew from the navel of Lord Vishnu.

Lord Brahma has four hands each of this four hands represents a meaning in them.One hand holds a srava(sacrificial tool),Knowledge(vedas),kamandalal(water pot) and a rosary respectively.Lord Brahma will be seen sitting on a lotus flower, which represents glorious existence.He has a vehicle Goose(hans) which represents the judgement for Good and bad.His consort is Goddess Saraswati,who is goddess of Knowledge,speech and learning.
