Aum Bhur Bhuva SvahTat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi
Dhiyo Yo Naha Prachodayat
Om, we meditate (dhimahi) on the spiritual effulgence (bhargas) of that adorable Supreme Divine Reality (varenyam devasya), the source or projector (savitr) of the three phenomenal world planes the gross or physical (bhuh) the subtle or psychical (bhuvah) and the potential or causal (suvah), both macro-cosmically or externally and micro-cosmically or internally.
May the Supreme Divine Being (Tat) stimulate (prachodayat)
our (nah) intellect (dhiyah), so that we may realise the Supreme Truth.
The presiding God of the Gayatri Mantra is Lord Sun. Gayatri is represented as a goddess, the consort of Lord Brahma (Goddess Sarasvati), and who is mother all the Vedas.
Rules foe spelling the Mantra -
The Gayatri Mantra should not be chanted for the purpose of material gains,physical or other needs.Its spelling is very powerfull that, no mantra is as power as of this.It should be appealed (or) chanted with pure consciousness.While chanting this mantra one should illuminate both heart and mind.
It is prayer with pure wisdom in our life.
It is the oldest divine Hymns of the world.
In the olden days this mantra is chanted to sun god.
It is belived that,while chanting Gayatri mantra with the right understanding of its sacred meaning,All the negative effects in the Human mind can be erased out to a large extent.
It is also belived that if a person is frightened in the dark ,then when he immediately chanting of this Mantra can remove the fear in him.
